ITT’s Fine Blanking was already well known in the Europe market. However, it needed to establish its own identity to grow beyond ITT and into the North American industry. The Think Shop was tasked with not only creating a new name for ITT Fine Blanking but developing a brand identity that would visually establish this new name within the market. Thus, Novitek Fine Blanking was born. Deriving from the Latin root meaning “new”, the name conveys technology, embodies a sense of innovation and coincides with the goals for the future of the company. The logo and brand development visually convey the precision and stamping process of fine blanking. It has a sharp, industrial look that makes a bold statement as an experienced, yet “new” company within the industry.
The brand support graphics derive from the process of fine blanking. The “V” from the logo is used as the core graphic. Breaking it apart, scaling the shapes and using the negative space created visually conveys the stamping process of materials.
